We’re glad you’re reading this, and we know that it isn’t by accident.  We want to help people come to life and experience the new life and a new family that God offers through a relationship with His Son, Jesus Christ.

SALVATION

Jesus brings meaning to your life

God, the creator of the universe, has a plan for you and your life. He loves you and wants to help you because He made you with a purpose.

You don’t have to measure up to some impossible religious standard to know God—you can’t, only Jesus can.  Jesus brings meaning and purpose to all the struggles you’re facing.  You don’t have to be good enough, clean up your act, or follow some checklist.

Now What?

If you are ready to meet Jesus, pray this prayer:

"Dear Lord Jesus, I admit that I’ve fallen short.  I’ve sinned and need your forgiveness.  I believe that You lived, died and rose again so that I may have a relationship with God.  I confess you as my Lord and Savior.  I commit my life to You. I give you my past, present and future.  Amen."

If you prayed to meet Jesus, please let us know! If you have any questions, we want to help you take the next step.

NEXT STEPS

Once you are saved, the next steps in discovering God’s will for your life can be described as a series of “life-changing encounters with God.” To help you easily identify and understand these steps of growth, we have summed them up as three distinct “encounters.”

To assist you in your spiritual growth, we offer three classes that lead you in discovering how each of these encounters with God helps you move forward in Christian maturity. Please contact the church office for class schedules. Below is a brief description of each “Encounter Class.”

THE EXPERIENCE ENCOUNTER: “Experiencing a new life and a new family.”

Your first encounter with God is your salvation experience. The Bible makes it clear that being saved is more than just believing in God and Christ. It is an “experience.” Jesus called it being “born again.” (John 3:3-7) So we see that being saved is more than just believing something in our mind. It is an “experience” that takes place in the heart and results in a “new life.”

The Bible then teaches that we “express” our gratitude to God for our new life in Christ, by being baptized and becoming a member of a local church. Notice what the Bible says about the experience of the first Christians. (Acts 2:41-42) “Then those who gladly received his word were baptized; and that day about three thousand souls were added to them. And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers.”

As the Apostle Peter preached the gospel, those present, repented of their sins and received Christ as their Savior. After that, we are told that they were baptized and added to what became the first church.

So, as you can see, every true believer has had that first “encounter” with God that includes “Experiencing a new life and a new family.” If you’ve had this experience, you are now ready for the next “encounter.”

THE EQUIPPING ENCOUNTER: “Equipped for growth and service.”

(Ephesians 4:14-15) “…that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting, but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ…”

In the “Equipping Encounter” Class – Part One, we will discuss the Four Basic Habits every Christian needs to develop to fulfill God’s purpose for their life, which is their spiritual maturity.

In the “Equipping Encounter” Class – Part Two, we will discover the unique way in which God has designed and gifted us for ministering to each other.

(Ephesians 2:10) “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.

We will focus on Five Personal Factors that have combined to shape the “real” you. By identifying the specific traits you possess in each of these areas, the ministry God has designed you for will become crystal clear!

(1 Peter 4:10) “As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.”

THE ENGAGING ENCOUNTER: “Engaging my community and my world for Christ.”

When we speak of engaging our community and our world for Christ, we mean that every believer is to be a witness for Christ. Witnessing includes sharing our own testimony of what Christ has done in our life. It also includes attempting to lead every lost person we can to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.

In our Engaging Encounter Class, you will learn how to effectively share your own testimony with others. You will also learn how to take a Bible and lead a person through a scriptural presentation of the gospel of Jesus Christ. And then you will learn how to invite that person to call upon the Lord in prayer and receive Christ as Savior.

You will also learn how to visit hospitals and rest homes in order to comfort the suffering and the lonely, and when possible present the gospel to those who are lost.

It is God’s will for every believer to grow in maturity and usefulness. May God strengthen and inspire you as you go forth to advance the kingdom of God.
